If i get my car serviced by a mate at his garage can i reset it to variable servicing using a Vag com set up? I dont want it to go to fixed (which i understand happens if you use the reset as in the manual) 1.8T 20V engine :)

Sure, to reset it with VAG-COM, just save a 0 to Adaptation channel 02 in the instrument cluster.

Thanks, does that apply if it is on fixed at the moment and i want to change it back to variable?

Check all adaptation channels between 40 and 48 and post the "Stored Value" you have in each. Also exactly what kind of car (make/model/year).

I will when my VAG com arrives, i ordered it yesterday but they are out of stock with the USB ones so are sending me a newer version when they get them in. Thanks
