View Full Version : Good news For Ibiza Owners....
I have spoken to AutoAcostics and asked if they would make a Drivers side stealthbox as the autochanger fittiments are on the passangerside and so is there box :(
The chap said that if I can provide him with a Ibiza to take the mould from then there may be the opertunity of a slight reduction ( Nothing garenteed but still !!! ) for the Seatcupra.net people.
Now if only I didnt live outside of civilization I would do it but since I live this side of Glasgow then it would be a bit of a trek !
There adress is ....;

I can get onto that, I visit Kent quite regularly, and should be able to sort something out with them. I'll get onto it and let you know..........

If ya speak to them in the next couple of days, ask where my bloody stealth shelf is...!!!!!!!!!
I have the speakers and calbing sat at home waiting to put into the new shelf and fitted to the car, but I am still waitin for the shelf.
I gather they are making it from scratch and didn't have anyin stock as it has been 9 days I think now since I ordered it. The speakers arrived to me the next day after ordering... bloody typical.. always waiting for something... lol

The shelf (when it arrives) will be worth it!
Ta.
F it im just ging to mount the auto changer on the back of the seat so that I can make do with the passenger stelth box .
Dont think the autochanger will be afected with not being mounted 100% Vertical will it ?
It should have a way of adjusting the mechanism from the outside so that it still 'thinks' its upright.
Hell, for £350 I would expect it to tell me what make of burger I put in it by mistake

It arrived.. !!!
the shelf came and it is indeed very nice... good upholstery and nice and sturdy, as it needs to be to hold the speakers..
I actually fitted the speakers into the shelf last night and wired it all up..
O........ M........ G... !!! it is confirmed that none of my neighbours now like me anymore.. !! lmao
Pioneer TSE-6995's kick some ass.. !! having the head unit at the same volume level as I did with the old standard speakers (around 24) and the sound is deafening in the car, you can feel the bass on your chest. Very impressed for such a simple install of just 6x9's.
No need for a sub for me.. !! :D
I highly recommend this upgrade for others that aren't happy with the standard speakers in the Ibiza.
*Goes to sit in his car in the directors car park and annoy everyone*.. !! lol

Just extended the original wiring with some decent connectors and decent cable..
All fitted like a dream, and as I aint using a £1000 cd player I doubt I will notice any sound quality differences between extending the wiring or doing the full lot..
The TSE-6995's are bloody fantastic... really good quality and as loud as ferk..
Speakers cost me £73 and the shelf was £99... cost me a few quid for thw wiring and connectors (mate works for a Hifi place)..
So about £180 in total... and the sound is the dogs danglies.. :D
Do it.. it is worth it.. !
Where did you get your speakers from ?? as I am looking at getting some along with stealth shelf very soon
