View Full Version : I've found another black plastic thingy
I opened the umbrella storage on the rear parcel shelf and this thing fell out
Black bendy plastic , a bit like a 75mm long Kitkat wafer but with a short side flange. In profile shaped like a "d" with a fine hole running through the middle.
Where's this come from?? Anyone??I am still baffled by the first thingy. Now I am becoming paranoid.
ps no markings
the case for the front of the radio?
D'oh.
Its like deja vu all over again.
Not the radio front case, nooooh.
Aaaaagh
Sorry, someone suggested the same for my previous black thingy post.
This is like a small kitkat finger in size.
i will have to get around to learning how to post photos.
Sounds like some kind of seal/trim part...
Is it silicon type plastic, rubber type plastic, hard type plastic or foam type plastic ?
To post a photo (and thereby stopping us all from doing our nut ;) ) click "Go Advanced", then scroll down and add an attachment...
Come on...... youre just making this up!!!
I can believe one plastic thingy... but two... its just not fare!! :p
I dont have any thingys
You will all want one now. Thats if the attachments work.
something for the lady in your life?is it a 2,3 or 4 fingured kitkat, mrs jase is liking the altea more :)
i dont think you are taking this seriously Mr Jase.
Btw just the one finger
I think i prefered it without the photos kinda added to the suspense!!
Bit of a let down really ...... and feck all idea what the hell it is.
I think pedro just had a bit of a laugh when they made yours!!
It's obviously a santa pencil-end eraser.
What's the black plastic thingy beside it?
me serious?with photo's like that how can you expect me to:)
Um- looks like Santa beside a black round thingy (mind boggles) and a long green thingy ?
Eh? :puzzled:

The long green thingy is obviously a chewed pencil..... so I deduce the plastic thingy is a Mk6b pencil/eraser separator.
(BTW great photo of pencil and eraser, crap photo of Mk6b...) :D

Sorry to give a serious reply but these rubber buffers are under the edge of both sides of the boot tidy shelf.... they are presumably there to stop it from rattling like the accessory ones (for Ibiza etc) do.
The only down-side of them is that they fall out whenever you lift the shelf out!
Thanks for clearing that one up. Now if only someone could tell me what the first thingy is.
I am thinking of offering a prize - it could be a black plastic thingy

The first thingy sounded like a key fob holder for the removable stereo fascia that isn't fitted to the Altea.... probably in the car by mistake!
No prize for you Yelloboy this time.
