View Full Version : Will i have to lower with 17"

Hi ppl
I am thinking about fitting a set of 17" bk 604s in black chrome, if i take the next profile down on my tyres = 195/50/16 to 205/45/17 s Will my car look stupid and higher than standard? if so what kind of lowering springs are recomended! (not a pps kit im not spending more than £200) just springs please!

Chris :devil: Standard tyre size for Ibiza cupra is 195 /45 / 16 not 195 /50 16 so you should be fitting 205 / 40 / 17 . i think lowering is usually 35 - 40 mm without scrubbing for this wheel & tyre size .
As for lowering springs theres plenty to choose from it's down to personal preferance .

I have recently put 17's on my Ibiza Cupra 2Ovt and They were 205/40/17 x 7 and went on fine and I have been told that you can go down 40 mm no worries at all ;)
