I am the happy owner of Leon 1.8VT Topsport. It is already chipped to the “normal” 225 BHP, which is nice - a little bit too nice.

I have looked into the possibilities to improve the performance of my car, but no matter what I am investigating, it always seem to end at the cars ECU with another EUR 500 visit to the tuner only to update the cars ECU. I am pretty experienced in ol’school tuning with a few Civics and ‘ludes. So I am very happy to find a whole forum on electronic tuning and setting for my Seat.

(1) I have a garage ready to mount a 2.5” free flowing exhaust system at very friendly prices, but I have been told that disconnecting the catalysator will make the car’s ECU freak out. So again I’m stuck at the ECU.

Anyone who knows how I can get control of the cars ECU and software?

(2) Being a true gadget-freak I have the most powerful PDA on the market, a QTek 9090, mounted in my car with a blue-tooth hands-free. I was hoping I could install the cars software on my PDA, with the ability to adjust settings while driving.

Anyone who has done this before?

(3) My car is a leased company car, and all the modz I do on my car needs to be able to be switched back to default within a day. That somewhat limits what I can do, but for sure a chip and a new exhaust are the easy ones.

Anyone with good ideas to modz I can do which doesn’t require to complex work the engine itself?
