Where is it from? Do they have a website?
Yes mate,
Its actually via Stealth Racing, so i suppose it has to be quite good.
Its reprogrammable, although at what cost i dont know.
Its sounds good, just keen to know if anyone has used it b4
 this is a piggy back system for the likes of turboed mk2 golfs that need extra fuel but dont have a fuel system capable of reprogramming
im only running a 2.0 8v vw unit!, so is it worth it and would it make any differance?
or should i be looking elsewhere for a chip?
look elsewhere i would say, like AMD for example, your car has a system far superior to the chipstar setup, its more for kjet equipped 16vs and kjet8vs with mechanical fuel injection and works through the cold start injector utilizing it as a fifth injector for on boost aplications:devil:

Chipstar and K-Star are from Milford Mircosystems... aka AmD by another name. :D
regards
Bill
K-Star is, oddly enough, the system for use on K-Jet engines.
ChipStar is a piggy-back system for use on cars where the owner doesn't want to change the original chip but still want s to tune the car. It's also useful for cars that run water injection/NOS or any extra system that the stock ECU can't control. IIRC, it can be used on cars that have a crank position sensor. BEst suited for those who have heavily modified engines, want to modifiy the engine in stages without having a new re-chip every time (can just re-map the ChipStar) and those who are paranoid about having the car chipped (Frankly only RS4 owners should worry given the cost of those engines!).
Bill,
Thanks, went onto Amd website when i left earlier and realised as soon as their page opened!
I think i'm gonna give them a call!
:devil:i stand corrected, glen!
