£850 with elephant.co.uk
Mum and dad on insurance saves me £400 cos they think you won't be driving the claimed 10000 miles a year so theres a few less mimels of risk.

looks like i'm getting ripped off then!!! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/mad.gif

I think that if you have the mods then go to a specialist insurer as they will be more helpful and will tailor the policy to your car where as most high street insurers will just lump you in the big pot.
I think I got 10% off by offering proof that I had driven a modified car previously, plus when you put all your mods on with your insurance company you wont get trouble from the police who are now using number plate readers to check people insurance details!
Best thing to do is get Max Power or something like that and ring some of the insurers in the back, CIA, Flux prob the biggest. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/rolleyes.gif

Just a note, I think you are all possibly getting ripped off? :s
I am 24 (25 in march)
I have 5yr NCB protected
No accidents
No speeding violations
Only driver on the policy
£650 per year..!! That is with Norwich Union.
I have my house insurance with them, my parents both have their insurance with them and when I told them that they knocked another 15% off the price they originally quoted, so give them as much info as you can.
I am hoping that next year mine will not go up (premiums set to rise next year), but as I am 25 I am hoping it will keep it from going up??? :s
Still looks like I am getting the best deal out of you lot.. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif

Well in Dec last yr when I got a quote for the Beeza I'd just turned 24, 3yrs NCB only driver, no points/convictions, parked on the drive I was being quoted 650.
Trouble is Jan 3rd I smacked my Saxo into the back of a car at 40mph and wrote off two cars, damaged one.... http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/rolleyes.gif I ended up paying 997! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/mad.gif

Please someone complain about how hard done by they are now!! get a quote using your details but use the postcode bt9 7jl, see how difficult it is to get insured over here in belfast!!
You lot dont know your born over there! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/wink.gif

I tried just about every insurer in the yellow pages & a few other ones and most wanted about £1000 or a lot more in the case of the AA,(insurance champions, that'll be right!).Norwich union direct was best,£520 for a 97' Cupra 8v.I'm 24 with 4 years ncb & one write off claim.
