I get a new Ibiza Cupra in flash red http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/cool.gif in a couple of weeks. Is there anything I need to look out for when I pick it up??
Is it worth joining the Seat Drivers Club?

Hi,
Nice one, you won't regret it http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif I've had mine about a month and a half now and love it now it's loosened up. Things to check for... hmm, just have a good walk around the car, check the paint everywhere and make sure you've got a Cupra badge near the gearstick! (my first one didn't, my replacement one did .. long story!).
As for the drivers club, I guess so, I'm not a member...yet, but the more members the better.

oh, one thing I should add...
*DO* read the manual about running the car in, my dealer told me it didn't need running in... *NOT* true!

thanks for those.
I can't wait to get the car. I did have a bit of a dilemma about whether to go for an ibiza or a lupo GTi, as the lupo (although smaller) seemed to get better reviews in the magazines. However, it looks nowhere near as good as the ibiza and the VW garage offered nothing like the price that my trade in Civic was worth.

Ahhh...you have made the correct decision....rally bread history the Cupra....really easy to drive...an I see you picked the best colour!.....oh no, going to get slated!
Note that point about the running in!! give it at least about 500 before you get silly.

You won't get slated by me - mines in Flash Red. Looks great, I'm surprised it isn't more popular. I don't think I've seen a single red one on the roads or in the drivers club. Then again you don't see many Cupras anyway, although thats starting to change now.
As for the Lupo I'm sure its a good little car, but it IS little, its bloody tiny.
Wouldn't like to be in a crash in one of those. Its poor value for money compared to the Cupra, slower but it is meant to have a great chassis. Its more a VTS rival, fun but you'd tire of being cramped like that.
As for the Polo GTi, hmmm, 125bhp Polo or '210' Ibiza Cupra for the same money...oooh what a tough choice http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/wink.gif

Lupooooo!
Too expensive for a 1/2 pint car/ Fizzy engine and it did'nt corner well at all.
I wen through the Lupo Gti or Polo Gtio phase until I actually drove them..... Moved onto Ibiza Cupra... No competition!
A Friend has a Polo Gti. Problems ongoing with it. He drove my Ibiza 210 and was gutted as it was way more car for the money and goes like stink. It scared him http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif
Cupra is the best value hot hatch around IMHO. 210 chipped its a hoot.
