These Altea's are growing on me and the new Leon version with the 2.0fsi turbo will arrive too late for my next car acquisition.

So with chipping not an option, it would be jolly decent of those SEAT chappies to put the golf gti engine in an Altea. Or perhaps the 160bhp diesel planned for the golf gti.

Surely the audi and golf people cant hold that engine all for their merry old self!

Any dates to be a bit more specific than soon?

Also, in the context of the UK, please don't say we will miss out on this, whilst mainland Europe gets some extra fun.
