Hi Guys,

Has anyone tried this product?? And is it worth the 20 quid?? It is claimed to give more power by removing the carbon build up in your engine... has anyone experienced this at all?? Most importantly, do you think that it is safe to use??

What do you think of fuel additives such as injector cleaners etc. Are they worth the cash or are they a waste of time.

It is basicly an octane booster.

It will clean out carbon buildups - good on newer engins - bad on old engind as it is quite often the carbon buildups that stop it burning oil and leaky valves etc.

should give a bit of a performance boost ubt after its out of the petrol the difference will be neglidable.

10K boost isn't an Octane booster - well not really

It cleaned a stack load of crap out of my engine & made it run smoother for like 5000 miles (at this point the engine had done 80k odd)

it did work cos my engine was full of crap. not really needed unless ur car is a bit older

it's restoring lost power - not new found power

Mark,

That what I was trying to say.

New engines shouldn't need it and it might be problemmatic in older cars.

I've used it on an old XR2. Sprayed it directly into the carb. Loads of crap came out the back but it didn't seem to make much of an improvement. It must have cleared it out internally though.

I've used the STP injector cleaner and Power Booster in my Ibiza. I put it in just before Brunty but didn't notice a huge amount of difference from that either.

I am very critical though and am not impressed unless something makes a big difference!!

should have read the post really (but I'm meant to be working & just scanned it - teeheee)

you're right though - if you're car isn't old & ragged like mine - you don't need it.

Does it work?
On older really caked engines I would say probably yes a bit. The claims are pretty high though from the manufacturer.

I have used a few cans myself on the fleet and families motors, including my old mans boat. It worked a bit I think. Was it a wonder treatment. Nope.

How do I know this?
I am a dealer for the stuff! I bought one case and have struggled to shift it.. I won't be buying another case.

If you have found some for £20 its cheap as it should retail for £25 for a twin pack.

It is not an octane booster though. Only a cleaner.

You'd better trash your car through a highway to remove any carbon buildup. That works, i guarantee ;).

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the advice. Why dont you shift your remaining stock through this forum for a bit of a discount and cut your losses?? Im sure that several people on here would clean you out of it!

I will have to check how many I have.. it is'nt many.
I am just reluctant to sell product I personally am not 100% behind, if you know what I mean..

Its hard to get a good reputation for products which actuall work, and I do not intend getting into the sillier/less credible end of things..

Having said that, on my wifes 1985 1.6GL Golf Cabrio, it did clean it out and it ran smoother with a better idle after the treatment.
I had it more in the line of product for cars with poor emissions and mot fails for said, maybe being recoverable by spendng £25 quid on a couple of cans of this cleaner. A lot of people use it.

Bill
