golf just tuned by dastek
hey just thought id tell u about my m8 who has a t-regturbo.anyway his mods he has are carboni induction kit,n75 j valve,2.5"miltek cat and down pipe.s3 turbo intake pipe,k03s turbo,4 bar pressure regulator. so anyway he went and got it mapped by a company in aberdeen who sell uni chips(custom mapable chip).so theycould get the best results of all his mods etc.well the guy that mapped it said the best he could get from is was 210 bhp and 240 pounds of torque.that seems really low to me what do you guys think.i thought 230-240 was golf 1.8 acheivable.

the ko3s is the bottleneck with regards to upping the power, i he gets a ko4 he will see closer to 240, intercooler and injector upgrades are a must also as theres no point having the potential and not using it. to be honest my leon chipped to 210 without any of those mods.
Where is the 210 figure coming from? You don't think these rollers are different to others?
if its a t reg did he then start at 150? if so 60bhp gain is not bad?

60 is about right for whart is now essentialy the equiviet of an auq engine.

yeah it was a 150bhp golf.why can an ibiza with the same mods get 230Bhp,for instance cupra baz. :confused:
well if it was 150 210 is a good gain its 180 leons that get 220-230

What were the before Dastek figure on the same dyno?

it should of been higher?? Is it an AGU 150??? Cause they chip to 240bhp @ jabba with just exhaust and K03s,
Also how does an S3 intake fit on a K03s? K03s is 4ml smaller????
Also What boost is he running?? I ran 1.4-1.5bar to get 240bhp/260lbs
FMIC is a key as heat is a killer. Especially if running high boost???

sorry my mate is getting confused! its not an s3 intake! i acualy bought the turbo and standard ko3s intake from u shok xe! my car is spiking 20 psi

Does it drive nicely? - does it feel like a worth while improvement? if so then don't worry about the figures.
