View Full Version : Power for sub
Ive just tried connecting my active sub to a sony headunit but as soon as the blue wire plugs in to the headunit it just goes in to standy and none of the buttons seem to do anything. Anyone got any ideas? Ive had it working on a couple of other sony headunits before?!?!
If i havent explained the problem too well then let me know and i'll try to make it a bit clearer.
When you say blue wire i assuming you mean the remote?
Yep, thats the one. Any ideas whats up with it?

Check that it's the right wire you've connected too. Some of the Sony units have funny wire colours. You might have plugged into the Phone mute??

The head unit may cut out due to too much current being drawn through the remote lead???
Could it be as simple as....
Did you double check you connected (sony)remote to (active sub)remote.
Not (sony)remote to (active sub)12v+ Pemanant Power
If this makes any sense!
PS i think you are right with Blue=Sony remote.
