Well they arrived 2 days later than planned but they got here. :D
I fitted them today. Had some trouble with locking wheel nut "key" and made a couple of small scratches on two of the wheels where the bolts go in.
Wasn't best pleased as you can imagine. They are hardly noticable though. (But I know they are there of course). Anyway I have heard there are specialist places that will sort out alloy scratches etc.
More the point of course is how does the car drive now?
Like a dream! Took it easy at first to make sure all was ok. There was a strange sound the missus picked up when cornering like a "tap tap tap" from the front passenger side. It went after a couple of miles though. (With my limited mechanical knowledge I put it down to the new tyres bedding in).
After the worry was over I pushed it a little. It handles so much better! It is almost like a new car. :D Because of the new low profiles and the wider tyres the car feels much more stable on the road. And even though there is an inch on the wheels it is noticably slightly lower as well.
To top it all off it looks the dog's doobries!
I am going to give the car a good wash tomorrow (to match the shiny wheels) and will take a few snaps with the digi camera. I will send them in to be added to the gallery if anyone's interested.
Cheers again to everyone who helped me with my novice type questions. I'm a very happy bunny. :D If you haven't got 17"s on your Leon you should have!
