Hi Flapper, I've finally bought the gauges using the part no. you gave me - thanks again.
I have a couple of questions, re: the wiring.
1.)On the R, is there a dedicated connector for the console harness to plug into? If so, where is it and is it present on the 'normal' 20VT?
I'm guessing that the 20VT and R use the same loom and that they don't just splice the console into the existing loom? On my old Corrado there were a couple of spare connectors behind the dash for such purposes. I'd rather use a dedicated connector if one's available - I can't see one at the moment but haven't looked that hard.
2).The sender supplied with the kit is 1H0-919-563. Is this the one used on the R? Again, if so, where is it located? I can only see one sender on the oil filter housing which I'd imagine is the oil pressure warning. There don't initially seem to be any spare ports on the oil filter housing, unlike earlier 1.8 blocks (Golf GTI, etc).
If you need to mail me a screen grab of the ETKA diagram that'll be no problem to save typing an essay! ;)
