Does anyone have any comments on Shell Optimax? I read all about it on the Shell website, and it sounds great - but then it would wouldn't it...

Anyway, does it work! I can't get it yet up here in darkest Yorkshire, and the suspense is killing me!

Also, should I be using 95 or 98 octane petrol in my Leon Cupra? I've had conflicting info from dealer.

i use it all the time i can notice a difference between optimax and 98 octane it seems to pull harder with optimax. i'm sure if its a leon you have you are ment to use 98 octane to get 180 bhp

Works for me.
Personally I think it suits the 1.8T engine very well.
More fizz from the motor ~ better response, quicker pickup. Especialyl good if your is chipped.

Same here. Never fill up without it now (unless it is absolutely necessary).

Cheers,

also better for yer engine ,less build up of crap ,or not as rapid a build that should be, use it as often as i can and on a tank full not that much more expensive really( 1- quid a tank full)and also better fuel econmy so this should balance out:cheers:
