What's the maximum torque a low mileage standard 240 mm clutch used in a BAM engined Cupra R should handle ?

Any ideas ?

They're not slipping on Revo'd LCR's with circa 300lbft

I doubt many are doing standing starts on that though

wonder if it will hold up when i go Big turbo. I intend to get the LSD so that should help the gear box right???

My Mk4 Golf ran 392bhp, 350lbft on 240mm Std Audi TT clutch.. no problem.
No slip, just perfect function.

Hmmmm so it should be alright then, just that the last engine had chronic clutch slip at 290 ft lbs so I am getting a bit wary. Getting the engine out again has lost its appeal.

Nope, it slipped on it's first run out. Gave it a little time in case it bedded in but it only got worse. I have to say the clutch was not new when it was fitted, it came with the engine. But it looked OK with no visible wear.

yep..
was well tested... but I dont do many standing starts.. (did for magazine shoot out as obliged but not my bag normally.) standing starts would kill the stock clutch IMHO.
