View Full Version : What does this measurement block do?

I have a mkII Ibiza with the Bosch single point fuel injection (1.6i R4 MONO 1.2.3 D7B).

Using VAG-Com, in measurement group 001, there is a data block called Binary Bits (Bin. Bits). Does anyone know what the individual bits in this block represent?

Basically, I am still trying to fix this:

And want to see if the ECU is seeing the switch contact on the idle speed actuator correctly. It is currently throwing up two fault codes related to an intermittent 'no signal' on the throttle position sensor, and an intermittent 'implausible signal' on the throttle position actuator. Looking at the VAG-Com logs, I can always see a valid throttle body angle, but sometimes it does not hold the idle speed correctly (throttle closes to it's mechanical stop @ 5.3 degrees).

See this thread

If all you get is binary bits etc, then disregard it as your ECU won't give you the info (I have the same problem on my 16v)

..Thanks for the link.

So now I guess the real question is: does anyone have a label file for this ECU?

VAG part number is: 032-906-026-F

Cheers.

Make sure you have the latest VAG-COM download, it may be that the label file has been included since your previous download. Worth a try.
