1. Where is the best place to feed the power cable through the bulkhead and any preffered way of connecting to battery terminal?

2. What's the easiest way to get to the rear of the HU?

3. Will I need to connect the remote-on cable to the amp as I am obviously using a high level connection, won't the amp auto switch on when it dectects a signal or is this not the preffered way (i.e 'thump' from sub when turning on)? Also where do I tap in to connect the remote on?

4. Any tips running the power/remote cable to the rear of the car, how to pull up carpet? Both down same side?

5. Best place to connect a ground in the boot?

6. How will I connect the rear speakers to the amp via the high level inputs, not sure exactly? Will piggback connectors be useful?

Many thanks

Dom

I take it you are using the standard head unit?

1) Theres a gromet behind the gove box you can get the cable through, pull back the passenger carpet and have a fell up, you'll find it, dont forget to put a good fuse in by the amp or battery.

2) Taking it out, 2x phillips screws underneath either side at the bottom, then gently ease it out, minding the tab at the top by the hazard light switch.

3) Yes you will need a remote, theres diagrams on here somewhere with the wiring block to the HU, theres a remote antenna outlet i think, or similar, get a multi meter and turn the radio on and off till you find a switched live to get the remote off.

4) I put the remote under the handbrake and power down the passenger side.

5) Theres a factory ground under the passenger rear light cluster.

6) Depends on the amp, my rockford came with connectors to wire the rear speaker cables into the amp, or just use bullets etc.

Pete and I were well impressed when it was finished, sounded ace.
