View Full Version : My new Skoda
I sold my Fabia to settle some loan debts and generate some much needed cash, but i cant be without a quirky 'FUN' motor so ...
Here its is, sorry about the naff pics but more to come soon, hopefully picking up some new rims tomorrow and the search continues for some suspension options.

Covered 65,000 miles, full Skoda service history, lots of history with it (service receipts, bill of sale etc), has been well looked after, just needed a new thermostat housing and needs a few less than perfect body repairs sorting. But its all there and intact so Im happy, bought myself a classic :)

Classic indeed! Has a monster 1.8t conversion crossed your mind already? JBS used to own one of these and James was always talking of converting. Anyone know if it ever happened?
it's the new caddy ross, and yes you must whack a 20vt in it.i've seen two today, both local, theres also a felicai with the same colour scheme body kit

He didnt no, James has asked me if I plan to do it.
To be honest i'd probably not bother with a 1.8T, but I really would like to do a tb'd ABF lump.

Whey hey! :)
The felicia fun. Takes me back to my days of 'old school' skoda-ing.
Does this use the 1.6 VW 75BHP lump or the Skoda 1.3 SPI or MPI lump?
Dor.
Its got the 75bhp (wow) Polo engine in it.
Kerb weight of 1005kgs means its actually quite quick considering.

I wouln't worry about it only having 75bhp.
My old rapid only had about 80bhp tuned (ok it weighed only 850kilos stripped).
That saw off some 'interesting machinery' on the road rally season.
Dor.
Must drawn some interesting looks!
I was hoping to get one of them back in my skoda days, cool wagon indeed:)
I went and saw this a couple of hours ago.
I had my doubts, but I think it rocks!
The things it can do, and the individuality of it...:)
Cheers for bringing the trolley jack around Tom, look forward to whacking the Ibiza alloys on and seeing what it looks like :)
All my wheel choices have worked perfectly so far, and I'm sure this one will go down a treat! :D

Now that is approaching the look........
Rear spoiler needs changing to something more swept back, add a front spoiler???
Not bad!!
I think it's fine as it is.
It's a limited edition car...you don't want to wreck it!
Id ditch the frog interior for summat else, but thats just me.

Does look good!
Nice one techie.
They are a real head turner!
What was wrong with the origional alloys?
Must admit they could get a bit ott!
But yours looks in pretty good nick.
The leather interior was a bit quick to get cracked.Whats yours like?
I always loved these.
Same platform as the pick up.The only difference between the caddy and the pick up was the name badge.
So most things that fit the caddy and pick up will fit yours.
The interior is a bit cracked yeah, but with a good clean shouldnt look to bad.
Having lots of problems finding suspension stuff, Leda have offered to make a custom coil over set up for me but its gonna set me back around £900 or so.
Oh dear, I'm sorry but the car isn't to my liking at all :hide:
Maybe once you've done some stuff to it, I'll warm to it, but at the mo....
Why?
:duck: :runaway:

me neither but he's certainly got balls to take it on.

And as i see it why not do something different.
Anyone can buy a LCR and stick some Lexus light clusters on it and call it modded (no offence to any lexus lighted LCR owners intended).

Nice one techie ,i'm sure that it will look and go much better once you've finished.Saw one of these in south wales today, strange only seen one before at inters ,then you get one and i spot another.A little LOUD for me ,but if it was painted a sutle colour,it would be good for going mountain biking with a trick rack built in. Andy
used to be one of them in my estate
