View Full Version : What size is the spare on an Ibiza?
Sorry, boring question but I'm filling in a modified vehicle report form for my insurance company and they want to know the wheel sizes.
I know the size of the 4 main wheels (195x45x16) but what size is the spare?
I know its in the owners docs but they are at home and I need to send this off today!

PS. The tyres are R rated. What speed is R and is it sufficient for the 210bhp conversion?

Ben, I am pretty sure I had a look at my spare when I first got my car and it was a 15" space saver.

Mines a 15" spacer saver

Mines a 15" space saver and I had to use it the other day! and if anyone else has to, don't go over 50 mph and turn tcs off. these wheels are bad! it didn't even feel save at 30mph!

Space savers on most cars are rated at 30mph max speed and 30 miles max distance... so 50 with TCS off probably wouldn't be a good idea! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/wink.gif

On the wheel it says 50mph max and if you leave tcs on, the light goes mad.
Did you know that the tyre on the cupra's aren't made anymore! when I asked how much for one the guy said these have replaced!

The car manual states "Turn OFF the TCS when driving with the space saver mini tire"!
