Can't believe I'm posting in the ICE forum :yikes:

A bit of advice please chaps.

The TurboDisplay I have dims when it sees 12v on its dimming line. Currently the dimming line is tapped into the headlights. Problem is, headlights on in daytime and you struggle to see TurboDisplay.

So, do I tap into the sidelights instead and drive round with my sidelights one when I'd be more comfortable with my dipped beam on.

Figure out a way of tapping into the instrument dimmer, so lights on dims the TurboDisplay but putting the dimmer on maximum brightness puts the TurboDisplay back on full brightness.

OR, I could fit a switch on the dimming line I suppose :thumbd:

Pabs/Pete/anyone?

You could try the instrument dimmer wire but it depends on how sensitive the timers input is.

There's no easy way round this one unfortunatley. You need a light sensor ;)

Do know what voltage it outputs low to high?

Never measured it mate sorry. But it's a PWM signal but that's all I know.

<---novice.

What's PWM?

Edit: And would you risk taking th light switch out from the front - I'm bored of taking the lower dash panel off now...

PWM = Pulse width modulation. In practice it's like you using a toggle switch. basically you pic a period in time, then over that time you have the power on for a % of that period.

On mine I think there was just enough cable to pull the switch through but not enough to be useful. Try it and see how much slack cable you have.
