First impressions are that it is quiet!, Guess I miss hearing the turbo whistle as I accelerate, but apart from that it is very nice.

Car is fully loaded, cruise control etc, but only 16 inch alloys I think - the biggest surprise however has to be the seating position. It is quite high, but that is great for bumbling around town, very confy seating, got a good position almost straight away. Even had a few people stop at traffic lights and ask me what it is. :roflmao:

Not looking forward to having to try and park it later on though, rear visibility is pants! We shall see what the residents of Fulham make of it as I queue over putney bridge later on today...... [B)]

Yep! Thats why the optional rear parking sensors are pretty much essential!

I liked the 2.0FSI but prefer the shove and economy of the 2.0TDI Glad you like it! :)

Ditto - glad you like it and the rear parking sensors give you some comfort when reversing. Not so sure whether to recommend the 17" or not. The test car with 16" was pretty bumpy. You do get use to the 17" ride and it's my excuse of why you feel so good when you arrive in the Altea since you had a light massage with the bumping about - never a chance to get stiff;).
