As above, at what mileage should these be changed? Mine's on 55k.

If I need some soon is this a good deal? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=9889&item=4529852105&rd=1

Yeah I will make sure I do them myself, don't want to pay dealer prices. I think they were last done at 40k too so should have a fair while left yet then. Might see what they look like anyway.

40k according the to service guide.

No. Use the ones that Seat designed the engine to use. Super4s cause no end of random running problems.

what sort of problems? i just put a set in my car (also AUQ) and have not noticed any problems...

...but my car is going into the dealer on friday for a stumbling / hesitation problem. i know this is nothing to do with the super 4's, as it was there before, but the dealer will use any excuse to blame it on something else.

think i'll buy some different ones and change them over this week. anyone know where i can get some cheap?

VAG engines just seem to not like Super4s. The mid 90s engines all ran like complete dogs on them. I think it's got something to do with only having a few designs of Super4s, and then trying to fit them to loads of cars.

You might be lucky and have a car that runs fine on Super4s, then again you might not.

You need NGK PFR6Q. They are 10.47 each from sparkplugs.co.uk. And 8.50 from ECP.

...do you know how long it takes to get them delivered from each supplier, or would it be easier to get them from a dealer?

Just change the plugs in mine (20k) to the Bosch Super 4, runs fine, in fact just as well as it did before with the NGK.

Most wil post overnight. Or you could ring you local dealer. I know that when I wanted some new plugs for the Golf, VW were cheaper than any of the online places!
