I just wondered if anyone had tried doing this. Fitting a driver's wing mirror from a left hand drive Ibiza to the passenger side of a right hand drive car? Cos the passenger wing mirror is slightly smaller and kind of makes the car uneven!! (I like things symetrical!!!!)

I think someone on here has done it. Flapper supplied the mirror. However, I don't know where you stand with the external temp sensor which is the little nipple stuck on the bottom and wont be on the drivers mirror on a LHD as far as I'm aware.
Cheers

Cheers for that, I'm surprised it's not a common mod that people on here do. One things that is sometimes frustrating is when I park on my girlfriends road cos I always fold my mirror is as it is quite narrow which means I always have to park with the drivers side to the road. (although the highway code does say to park like this anyway!!!)

Ive not done the mod, but am planning on doing it very soon.
On the main website Flapper has put up a post with a link which shows all the parts that will be required, with part numbers.
Think it works out at about £90 for all the parts. Then you need to get it painted.
Im planning on doing getting the parts in the next weeks so I will let you know how I get on.
Laterz.....

Thanks, I'd like to see how easy it is. What happens about the external temperature sensor?

Yeah - I wanted to do this - but rather than take the drivers mirror off a LHD model - why not take the passenger side one so that you have two small mirrors - still with temp gauges?

Nice one, I like the sound of that. It hadn't crossed my mind to do that, I think that might look better.
