it dosnt need to be anything special. If it can run win95 it will be fine (even an old 486).
You should be able to get hold of one pretty easily (and cheap).

Post on here someone is bound to want to get rid of that door stop they thought was no good for anything.

P.S. just 1 slot left.....

Hi there, It's Ram® here from Audi-sport.net!

Thanks to RTV & BK fo r the invite!

I'm the one heading up the group buy for thr VAG-COM.

If you need a cheap laptop, I can help you source one from £80 plus VAT & carriage - nothing powerful, but just enough to run VAG-COM on windows '95.

Mail me if you are interested or take a look a the "microfinder" link somewhere in the following thread:

I'm listed as an authorised supplier on the Ross-tech website.

My company is called Cister Automotive and can be found at www.cister.co.uk.

If you need anything else, just let me know.

Hope this helps,

Ram®

Thanks Ram i just get a bit edgy as there are a few rip off merchants out there.. Now I can see your certainly not one of them!!!!

I'll mail you about the laptop! So would that be 205 odd quid for a vagcom and laptop?

Where abouts in oxfordshire are ya?

Hi Mattie,

You'd have to buy the laptop directly from the supplier for warranty reasons - here's a link to Microfinder - laptops start at an incredibly good £75 + VAT :D for a Windows '95 ready PC:

http://www.microfinder.com/note_frame.htm

Speak to Tristan or Martin at the Bristol office and tell them I sent you! :)

Cister Automotive is based in Witney in Oxfordshire as an Online business using carefully selected 3rd party suppliers for Tuning, Bodywork, ICE, Sunroofs, Air conditioning, LPG conversions and much more.

Our 1.8T/20VT chipsets include pre and post rolling road sessions and are designed and manufactured by AmD in Bicester.

Let me know if you require anything further!

Best wishes,

Ram®
