waterpump? has it been replaced? common fault.

is there any coolant in the resovoir?

is there any signs of mayo colour stuff in oil filler cap?

are all the coolant pipes hot? e.g. not an air block? give em a squeeze and see if the coolant tank bubbles a bit.

hope these help

LOADS

NO, no mayo on side of header tank, no loss of water/oil and no discolouration to the fluid either

yes mate, deffo sounds like water pump then, it aint circulating it is why the pipe gets too hot to touch after a few secs. you should be able to hold them after a long journey without a problem.

if ya have coolant, not head gasket or nefin :)

obv you sound like you know ya stuff, technical advisor :bleh: but all cars are different. dont panic just have a ganders tommorow :)

lol ok. ah good, yep deffo soundsl iek it, dont worry, when the water pump is changed, you will have to bleed cooling system neways, so you will find if there is a blockage also. but i think it just aint pumping it round so the engine is gettin coolant hot, is it the top rad hose thats hot? or bottom one?

top rad hose is hot

We've bled the system twice, he thought it was the thermistor dead so we took it out and ran the system but it still wasnt pumping...
