Hi,
How suitable would the VF 35 series turbo be on the 20vT engine?
I understand it has a roller bearing cartridge fitted, would this be the case?
Would there be any benifits to fitting this rather than the VF 34?

not seen or heard of any VF35 information beyond it being likened to the earlier VF30

Bill how does this compare to the VF34 and how suited to the 20vT is it?

Bill, off topic slightly.... what would your ideal spec be for a 20vT road engine?
1.9 / 2.0, large port head Pauter rods etc etc, looking to build a good one up as I have a brand new APX 225 short motor and an AGU with the large port head sitting gathering dust at the moment. :idea:

For me 1.9 and its large rbore makes for a squarer motor.. and worked extremely well on Golfy until the valve stopped play.
Pauter rods and or other decent steel rods for peace of mind, ARP fasteners etc, largeport head with suitably large turbo to blow thru it to make use of the extra port size. should be good for high 300's, more if you go bigger turbo's depending how drivable you want the power delivery.
all IMHO of course.
REF GOLF GTTi: I notice you mention an AGU gathering dust. I have an AEB and need an AGU ECU I don't suppose you would have one to sell? ;)
Back to the subject. With all this talk of IHI & other big turbo upgrades can anyone tell me where all the standard K04's and manifolds go? If anyone knows where I could find one I would appreciate the help.

most of these big turbo conversions go on smaller k03 cars.

Sorry Chopper, I don't have the ECU or loom for the AGU, just the engine. :rolleyes:
