....don't 'do' dump valves!

Just got off the 'phone with them, no quote if you have an aftermarket dump valve.

Your not dumping - your recirculating.

Nit picker!
OK so it's a recirculating dump valve?
I've never heard them referred to as a recirculator valve....
Maybe they'll play ball if you tell them it is a recirc valve

either that or just have the old one in the boot, and replace it if you crash ;)

Some of the dot com companies dont touch anything out of ordinary.
Phoned Direct Line today and they told me that they won't insure any modifications for anyone under 25.
Told the girl that I was only 'thinking' of an induction kit

Whoooooooosh.................
The sound of an atmospheric dump valve - and also the noise made when the extremely large Direct Debit leaves the bank account for monthly insurance payment.

Might as well just say "Don't bother with insurance" and have done with it!
Admiral won't insure a remap on mine either! So I've decided to leave it!
I'm with admiral and i phoned about dump valve and about induction kit. They covered both no problems

Leave instructions for family and friends to get it sorted if such a think ever did happen ;)

Have any of you tried Greenlight or Adrian flux?
i agree with the above, greenlight gave me a very cheap quote when i was going to buy a cupra but financial probs forced a 1.4 :(

just a word of warning fellas... i would stay very clear of admiral and any modifications in any case......
i had a highly modified 1977 leylands mini.. 1293cc, stage 2 race head, stage 2 exhaust, 13" wide alloys, full bodykit, leather seats, cream and black leather dash and matching speaker pods, matching centre console. All sprayed up in mondeo black with bits in the paint.
All of this was made very clear to admiral in the first instance... they then added the above to my policy and i paid the extra 200 pound for the privialage. In january my car was reversed into at speed. The guy admitted he did it, and he said it would better to go through insurance.. They wrote my car off as a Cat C. No real damage by cosmetically trashed. It took them 5 weeks for them to come to terms that he had actually hit the car.... they also disputed that i hadnt told them about the mods despite having it writen on my policy documents?
to cut the story short.... we're in april and i still havent had full payout.
thus why ive stepped into the realms of Seat leons :whistle:

i just wished that cheap and mini came in the same sentence....
thats after 5k later.... and still not finished....
My new policy has come and mods are listed on Admiral policy. got FR and Pug 206 covered for £550 for the pair for the year.
cannot se ehow they can argue if they list it on policy. Mind you lots of co. take ages to sort out claims I'm afraid
