Could some please exsplane how a chargecooler works?

And how well these (below) would work on my Mk3 ibiza cupra wich has been revo'd

forge SMIC
chargecooler (please state a size)
AM-motorsport FMIC
GRS-motorsport FMIC

On a scale of 1 to 10
Say standard SMIC is 1

I have done a search but none of the pages compares all of them against eachother.
Thanks

Only 2 i would use would be the Pace chargecooler or Am motorsport fmic.
If u r staying at just remapped the am motorsports (is it 11 or 13 core Normal one?) fmic is the way forward. The 17 core daddy big balls one would suit a wide variation of states of tune.

From what i had gathered from reading other threads...

forge SMIC - ideal if you want a good reduction in temps and want to keep standard pipework

chargecooler (please state a size) - has the advantage of being able to run ICE to keep it mega cool, but once heatsoaked takes longer to recover

AM-motorsport FMIC - ideal if you want to run high boost and keep low temps, but you will need additional piping to fit

GRS-motorsport FMIC - twin pass, not single pass like AM IC. Slight pressure drop, but able to adapt standard piping to fit.

forge SMIC 5
chargecooler (please state a size) 7
AM-motorsport FMIC 9
GRS-motorsport FMIC 6

Also, the forge SMIC looks almost OEM so you could get away with not telling insurance.

More than a slight pressure drop across the FMIC
