After much deliberation i have decided to move my PS2 out of the boot and into the cabin.
The only problem is that the Arosa`s cabin is not overly accomadating to the oversize PS2, then it came to me a few years back i saw a Lotus Carlton with a broken down Phillips CDI in it.
Having just taken the PS2 apart to seperate the disk drive from the main body to find it is connected by two ribbon cables and some smaller connectors, so the split looks very likely allowing installation as a second din slot where the cup holders currently reside.
My real question is where can i purchase some the afformentioned ribbon cables Do any of the computer bods know if i can get away with extending the inch long cables to about 3m without affecting the operation of the unit since i`m assuming the volltages are low in the ribbon cable (will the extension affect the strength of the signals).
Any advice greatfully recieved
