Well, basically I got these Star Sound speakers very very cheap, almost nothing ;) and I want to install them in the front of my new 2004 seat ibiza SX.

OK, so ive heard the speakers, my mate has the same ones as his front components in his focus, and they sound VERY nice (despite what you might think - I was sceptical).

OK, heres a link to the speakers:

http://www.starsound.co.za/Products/Split_systems/SS_C650CK/ss_c650ck.htm

I just want to know how hard it will be to fit these speakers? Will I need an adapter? If so what adaptor, what do I need etc.
Also, before I install them Im looking to get a new alpine headunit, will I be able to power these speakers + the standard back ones through the head unit? Or would I benefit alot from an AMP?

I have an AMP, again obtained VERY cheaply ;) its a ORION cs100.2 link below:

http://www.speakersound.com/index.html?loadfile=catalog80_0.html
Spec:
Amplifier Type: 2-channel
RMS Power: 50W x 2
Bridged RMS Power: 105W x 1
THD at Rated RMS Power: 0.01%
Speaker Level Inputs: No
Preamp Outputs: No
Built-In Crossovers: HP/LP
Bass Boost: 0-12 dB
Frequency Response: 20-20,000 Hz
Channel Separation: 70 dB
Signal to Noise Ratio: 90 dB
Fuse Rating: 25 amps

If I used this amp to power these new front components would they sound alot better?

Sorry for the long post, and all the questions, basically Im abit of a novice (i have install a headunit / sub in an old car).

Any help will be much appreciated.
Mike

[P.S. ive posted this on a few forums so you may see it elsewhere]

hi, to fit the speakers you need to remove the door cards, there re 2 screws on the bottom of the door, remove the handle trim carefully with a small screwdrivr and there are 2 philips screws holding the handle part on, when these 4 have been removed carefully pull the bottom of the card towards you, and it will unclip, lift the card it will need some force to do it :) disconnect the door handle and red alarm light. To remove the speakers carefully drill the rivets on the speaker adapters (where the adapter meets the door not the speaker) to replace these you will need the autoleads adapters for the VW LUPO. As for the tweeters you will need to remove the trim from the door mirror mount and cut the standard ones out also word of warning you may need to cut the tweeter case down so you can get the trim on  I've learnt the hard way! to mount the tweeters use hot glue
as to the amp what is the rms power for the spaekers? if more than the HU you will benefit from the amp.

good look

Johnny1 so I do need adapters for the speakers? Where's the cheapest place to get them? any ideas?

edit: The ones under lupo say they are for the arosa on caraudiodirect,
would these ones do the trick?
