Just noticed that the dump valve i have sent to me and installed is a forge DV-007. is it ok to have this on the beezer 20VT or should it be the DV-006?
What are the differences between them?

Flapper,

I take it that since it's used in the 2.7 twin turbo it means the DV will lift at a higher pressure which means could f**k my car or is it safe enough?

Cheers

Just to confirm that John is correct, Forge say the 007 will perform excellently on the 1.8T

Yeah you're right, web site makes it appear to be completely different - this the reply I got from Forge....

Hi Mike
The 007P will perform excellently on your car.
This valve is the same size as the OEM .
The 006 functions in exactly the same way but is larger.

Best Regards

Larger? physically I guess they mean..
Wonder if this has any effect - like the hose connections being larger/smaller etc?
Same pressue I presume... which is........... what?
curious.

The 007 needed slightly larger hoses, and wasnt a 'direct' fit from the standard Bosch one. As for pressure, I have no idea :)

you won't notice any more power, but you should notice on quick gear changes at higher revs...3500+...that there should be less lag i.e smoother power through the gears....well, that's what I noticed anyway!
