Deja Vu eh Mart?

Martyn has also got a 1.4 Beeza. He was quoted the same but got it down to 1400 with pass plus. He's 19 so you're getting quite a 'good' deal for your age....

Welcome to the world of driving, you'll never have any spare cash again! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif

Yea insurance sucks

My cheapest quote came from CIS Insurance (http://www.cis.co.uk), with my Pass+ the quote was around £1400 Fully Comp, without Pass+ it was nearer £1650.

CIS general dont mind a few body mods either, so if your going to be modding your car it may well be worth a look.

Aged 19
Ibiza 1.4 SXE
No "No Claims"
Pass+
Fully Comp
£1400

Hope this helps.

I just can't believe the insurance prices for young drivers.

I am 24 and have full NCB protected so I get a resonable deal however mine is still expensive.

I have never had any knocks or points which helps but I pay £650 (full comp) on a Beeza Cupra (1.8T 20v). Probably sickening to you younger guyz but still a rip off in my mind.

As someone indeed correctly said, welcome to the driving world where you never have spare cash ever again..!! you can always find something to spend it on for your car.

Enjoy though fella's.. keep it safe.. keep that lisence clean and watch the premiums come down and soon my friends you can have a nice Cupra to play with.. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/tongue.gif

I insured a corsa SRI with cis for £700 TPFT when i was 18 with no no claims. Now im 19 and my insurance on a brand new beezer cupra is £2600. Sounds alot but so does 1400 for a 1.4 beezer.

Jesus. I know that insurance premiums are increased because of the air disaster but get this:

I am:

22 with 5 yrs. No Claims discount. I live in a not very high risk area and have it parked on a drive.

I have an SP30 with 3 pts.

My dad is a named driver who also has full no claims but an SP30 with 3 pts.

Its just come to renewal time for my brand new(picked it up in June) Seat Ibiza Cupra 20VT. My current insurers quoted £1250 or soemthing. Best quote so far is from Norwich Union Direct at £1136.69 with Legal, Protected No Claims & only a £250 excess.

Can;t get anywhere to quote less than £1k even with ridiculous excess figures.

Anyone got any advice. I have tried....Tesco, Adrian Flux, Elephant, Norwich Union, Admiral. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/frown.gif

Cheers,

Andy

PS If insurance keeps going up like this, sod getting mortgages for a house you;ll need one for your bloody car insurance.

Christ those figures are ridiculous for insurance! It makes me puke! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/sick.gif

We pay 560 FC for the wife's Saxo VTS which I thought was pretty good, considering it's brand new and we only had one years NCB. It must be because I'm getting old at 28!!

I really pity anyone trying to buy a decent car these days. I can remember being 18 and buying a Fiat Uno Turbo (118bhp roller-skate!) and only paying 700 quid insurance on that.

What's worse is that when I phoned up for a renewal for the bike insurance, they told me premiums are going to rocket because of all the WTC losses.

Bleedin' highway robbery!
