Hi all,

I've just bought a 1996 Seat Toledo 2.0 16V

I need to replace a rear wheel bearing and the timing belt. I have owned numerous VW's in the past and have usually purchased parts from Eurocarparts. The Toledo has the Golf 2.0 16V engine with Seat stamped on it. Does anyone know exactly which model of Golf I should go by when ordering parts or where I could find out? I found the following on the Eurocarparts site, '1996 Golf III 2.0 16V Motronic ABF: 110'. I'm not sure of the exact engine type in the Seat and finding info about them on the net isnt easy (maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places!). Do you think the wheel bearing would be the same as that on the Golf also?

Any help appreciated.

toledo 2.0 16v also used the ABF engine so engine wise most parts r probably the same. if u can get vw part no's i can always check em 4 ya:D

Nice one, cheers mate.

So do you need me to get the VW part numbers so you can check them against Seat or the Seat part numbers so you can check them against VW?

Thanks for that :)

I didn't know that the geniune Seat parts were so cheap! At that price there's no point in getting going for alternatives...
