I have to say, saving a few grand for a car that has been absolutely hammered for 99.99% of its' life doesn't seem to be such a good deal really!

That 5,000 - 8,000 mileage probably works out the same as about 30,000 - 40,000 "everyday road" miles!

Now......if it were to include one of the Seat promo' ladies then I may well be interested http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/wink.gif

Not necessairly thrashed. Just driven at optimum temperature and constant revs for prolonged periods.

Car will be nice and loose, with no adverse engine wear and still have balance of manufacturers warranty if any issues arise.

swinny, i have photos of one of these promo cars doing donuts (of sorts) in the scrutineering area of the seat lurgan park rally, another one was seen dipping its chin into the asphalt after going round a steep corner onto a flat surface!!
btw the url for the photo is http://homepage.ntlworld.com/brendan.nelson/images/cupraleon.jpg, the rally drivers who were "piloting" the cupras didnt seem to care about the paintwork nor the engine, one was heard crunching through 1st and 2nd at the hairpin where i was marshalling and almost wiped out on the massive bales of hay used as the hairpin.... make your own conclusions from that people, i rest my case!

I saw the cars at Combe earlier this year... Looked great. Tyres were shagged and well ragged. No corners on them..... well used.
With the cages and harnesses they looked the bizz.
Going to have had a hard life though are'nt they. Likely to be nice and loose though http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif
You got one in now?

Actually, these sound like quite a bargain if you ask me. You know that the cars have been well looked after as they're demonstration cars - the last thing SEAT want is for these to go pop whilst out on a demo drive!

Plus they've already had the 210bhp mods done to them and you can be it was as professional as you can get because people will be looking at it to try and find faults.

If only I hadn't put my money down on a Ducati 748S I might be tempted...

Antonye whatever gave you the idea the ex-track Ibizas had 210 conversions?
They were bog standard but for Pagid brake pads as far as I thought. And the cages/harnesses.

They look really nice. I was in the showroom yesterday, nice Cupra graphics and the cage/harnesses look the business. It'd certainly make you stand out in the crowd. :)

Cheers
