These things are excellent. (Black car ~ drying is essential! :( )
Got mine from Mark (WaxWizard) in the same consignment as my wheel cleaner - 1st opportunity to try it this weekend.
Does it mean you can throw away your chamois? No.
Does it mean you zip round and dry 90% of the car in approx 45seconds? Yup.
Chamois required to do all the fiddly bits, and any splashes caused by (clumsy use of) the water blade. You can finish the car off however without needing to wring out "yer chammy" at all.
Mark sells for £15 which [pobably isn't the keenest price in the world, but "it's a woppa". You can also get similar cheaper versions, but I think they are smaller.
There's a group-buy on offer on Scoobynet for £10 if there's enough interest (I always manage to mis-time these things! ) If anyone is interested I'll post up the URL (or look for it yourself - last seen in "General" forum ~ title as per this thread).
(Some talk on that thread about these being potential source of scratches. Can't really see how - they're really soft, so unless you get a stone (or a small hedgehog) trapped in the blade ~ can't see there being a problem. Just ensure you remove that roll of sandpaper you'd been storing inside your chamois before you finish the car off). :)
