just thought i'd let you all know that autoexpress (yes that great photoshop magazine lol) is going to be having a first drive :rolleyes: of the leon prototype in next weeks mag.
not 100% on what they mean by first drive but thats what they say.....?
Hmm wont hold my breath that they actually drive it! Maybe inside around a show room with the road photshopped in!
maybe they mean of the prototype.....
Prod versions won't be released til May....

Production versions released to the press or to the public in May? was planning on ordering a current model Leon FR TDI next week but if the new ones out in May then I guess i'd be better off waiting.

Cars not expected to hit showrooms until August / Sept I believe. I'll be hoping to get a TDI sport for the wife September time. :)

Just read the review in this weeks auto express - they say most of the features of the prototype will stay, the production car will more than likely get 18" rims instead of the 19's shown and also they will have a 5 seat option as the protype has only 4 seats. They also estimate the price to be £20k, which is more than the VXR Astra, Focus ST and the same as the Golf GTI....
Off to WHSmmmmiths to have a read ...

Yes they certainly liked it. Let's hope Seat do keep as much as they can from the prototype.

Really? Well the Nissan 350Z Roadster got 5 stars 2 weeks ago. And they have only been giving out star ratings for about 3 weeks :D
