Aura head unit

Hi, can anyone help me please

I have a Toledo se which has a grundig Aura head unit & 6cd in the glovebox, the CD's play a lot louder than tape or radio, ie radio is set to 16 but i have to turn the cd down to 8, which is fine when switching from CD to radio but the other way is a bit of a shock if I forget to turn it down first, do any of you know if that is usual? or is there any settings that can be changed?

Cant say I've noticed thaat on my leon.. I've had this in the past when I was using CD I recorded myself and had the level set too high.. Other than that probably a nasty in the head unit. Might be worth goin back to the dealer and askin to test drive there demo car and seein wot that sounds like?

I know what you mean-there is a marked difference in volume on CD V's Radio. I put it down to radio broadcast being less powerfull than CD music sent direct to the headunit. Try your stereo at home-bet the radio will never go as loud as the CD.

Get into the habbit of turning the volume knob a bit straight after you press the RDS button and it will become second nature before long!......

thanks for your comments, I've got it booked in for a central locking problem next week so I'll ask the dealer to have a look at it then & post the result:)
