Ive now got these fitted on all 4 corners.
The fronts have been on about a year & all the grooves & dimples have filled up with crap.
Not ordinary crap - its rock bloody hard.
Cant shift the bloody stuff.
Not even a twist brush on my angle driver will shift it.
Eventually I`ve got it out by hand with a dremel & several grinding bits!
Is this normal?
Pads fitted were EBC greenstuff and standard SEAT pads for a shiort time when the EBC ones packed up.
Average mileage. No track days.
Ive heard pagid pads work best for fast road use.
Anyone else experienced similar?
Did I just read that you took a dremel to your discs?
You're a braver man than me.
I think the discs act like a cheese grater, so will wear the pads out. but I can't see why it's all got stuck in your discs. normally just sticks to wheels :)

With EBC's being so soft, they will fill grooves quickly. I use pagids and with weekly hosing down (washing the car) suffer no such clogging as you describe.
My latest disks are pagid groocved disks.
so far so good.

Bill
mine do get crapped up a bit but i have been know n to clean em out once in a while ,been on 4-5 mths now and they aren't as bad as yours but the pads are going bye byes very soon, for pagids, even the low dust claim is cack my white alloys get shitted up on the way back from the car wash:cheers:

I have had no real problem with the EBC discs, been on my 8v for about 9 months now. They've been through a set of Greenstuff pads and are onto Pagid Fast Road now, taking in three track days and a couple of road rallies.
As for dusty pads Jase, I think the Greenstuff pads were probably lower dust than the Pagids so far, but they were by no means dust free.
As stated, any disc with grooves or cross drilling is going to chop up a pad a bit more as it's not biting into a smooth surface. But that means more friction so better stopping power and also better cooling and less gas build up between disc and pad.
Cannot have it all ways - better stopping or less dust.

:D and now my abs is back i can press on a bit more and kill off the dredded green stuff
What, you mean I`m supposed to CLEAN my car?
I thought you were supposed to leave it cacked up to hide the scary catsick yellow colour!
Thanks for the replies, guys.
Anyone know of a good deal on the pagids?
