OBD Input/output voltage

I've popped in from www.briskoda.net to ask a VAG COM related question.

I'm building my own VAG-COM cable and would like some LED's in there to indicate data transfer, however, can anyone tell me if the I/O is 5 volt or 12volt

im thinking 5 volt m8, 12 volt is battery feed direct but it depends on how you build the cable-system generaly its 12 volt feed and reduced there after
