Im looking for a high performance clutch with a lighweight flywheel for an Ibiza 20VT. My clutch just exploded and need a new higher performance one.
Does anyone know who sells them?
Thanks
P.D. If you get past 250 HP, I suggest you change the clutch.
 do a search on vwvortex about clutchs, i think the g60 golf came with a lighter flywheel than yours and will fit straight on, can be used along with vr6 clutch kit, the vr6 flywheel wont fit, the stud pattern is different. this is the cheapest upgrade.
rriverol,
Please check ur email/private mesages as I need some advise regarding my PSS9 kit fitment.
Regards
ADE

You don't need over 250bhp to exceed the factory fit clutches abilities :(

Your clutch slipping Bill? Mine not, yet (Touch wood).
Let us know how you get on finding a good clutch.

Hmmmm
Boost spike, slipping. 2500rpm in 5th.
Started Sunday driving home..
12,000 miles only.
Not impressed.
Sourcing a proper clutch which can live with real power.
(he says - hopefully)

12000 miles, thats not very good.
I've done 10000 miles so I guess I should start looking around for clutches soon.
I think there are quite a few arn't there... Black Diamond, G-Force etc. I'd want an uprated clutch but not a racing clutch... are the uprated clutches just as easy to drive with (My girlfriend uses the car.). I saw that orangey coloured VW at GTI-International with a racing clutch... trying to drive slowly through the traffic it really struggled, every time they let the clutch up it wheel span. The clutch was basically either up or down, no inbetween.

Sounds like an unsprung paddle clutch in the orangy one.
On-Off
Jetta has a sprung paddle clutch with Grp N Sachs pressure plate. OK, presure plate works a treat, but the friction plate wears out quickly and is'nt as progressive as an full organic plate.
Looking for an alternative right now. Suitable for my plans.
Bill
Would those plans include a visit to Jabbasport for a LARGE injection of performance? ;)

Thank you.
5 different pressure plates listed by SEAT for 20VT Ibiza and 2 centre plates... Why? and which one is best if there is a difference?
