Hi Folks

I am completely new to this forum and am looking for some help. I've just bought a V5 (Y reg) unfortunately it has no manuals as yet (on order so sometime next year probably)! I can't work the following
memory seats (the buttons seem to do nothing!)
rain sensors (How and when do they work?)
without a few clues
can anyone help please either with a posting or a copy of the relevant bits

Frustrated V5 owner:sick:

Still wot a car tho!

I haven't got memory seats in my SE but as far as I can gather from my manual you set up the seat & door mirrors positions as you want & the press & hold in one of the preset buttons, this will then store those settings to that preset, my manual dosn't mention wipers

I think I tried that but to no avail. Maybe my system needs reset or something. Ta for the reply

I dont think the system is switched on by default. To enable it you need to put the drivers seat fully forward and completely upright using the buttons and this switches the memory on. Then put it into required position and press and hold memory button until you get a beep.

To set the rain sensor wipers, you just leave the wiper stalk in Intermittent mode. The wipers should then not work unless it's raining and then it will adjust acording to how much moisture is on the screen.

You say that you have a 99 model. I'm not sure whether the 99 model had rain sensitive wipers. Flapper might know.

And if my memory serves me right from my old V5 you can set the mirrors with the seat memory too !!!

If you have 2 plipper keys (you have to buy the second one) you can be even more clever and set the seats and mirrors to recognise who's driving...... i.e put your key in and it sets the seat and mirrors for you, or put the missuses key in and it sets for her....:D

Now thats what I call a toy...

This could turn out to be the most economical car for me yet - I'll spend more time playing than driving!
