knock sensor info - anyone measured

ABF 2.0 16v as some may know has 2 on the face of the block

both 2 wires - from memory black and white connectors

anyone measured the output signals ? voltage/resistance etc and to what degree the timing is taken out ? or whatever they effect if it doesn't ?

looking for some paramameters for a project and not got time to strip it down tonite and bang it with a spanner

most sensors will be tuned to give a larger amplitude response between 3 and 10khz (typical knock frequency)

tryin to figure out a possible way of inducing a controlled ignition retard on command

had idea that upon knocking detection the sensor gives ecu a signal and retards the timing so if i could figure the signal sent in aspect to the degrees initiated i could make up a plug in controller to suit an application im working on
