Did a 3rd gear log (flat road) of block 003, giving me rpm, MAF. Running LB9, T5. Fairly unscientifically, the figures were from a single run, not averaged over a number of runs in both directions down the same piece of road.
I read in another thread that (MAF reading*1.31) gives a reasonable approximation to flywheel power.
Assuming Power=(Torque*RPM)/5252, so Torque=(Power*5252)/RPM, I generated flywheel power and torque figures from the MAF. When graphed, the result is HERE (http://www.markeaston.org/stuff/vagcom1.jpg)
For reference, peak flowrate was 210.42g/s at 6360rpm. Power graph seems pretty healthy with 276hp @ 6360rpm. The torque peaks (spikes?) @ 320lbft @ 3240rpm which must be OTT.
Is there a glaring error in my maths or does this seem ok? Assuming 5% error in the (MAF*1.31) approximation, peaks could be 262hp, 305lbft so maybe it's ok?
