whats the relevance of silver or black fascia trim - looking through the brochure of the Altea and Toledo i can't fathom if the black trim is for the sport model, and the silver is for stylance ?

The sport model i sat in at the showroom had a black fascia trim / radio surround - i think ! :)

Anyone know?

My sport has a silver/titanium finish to the centre console/radio and around the dials if that helps.

strange :) just looked at the 360-deg panarama on seat.co.uk and the model shown is a sport model (judging by seat shape and fabrics) yet the dash trim around the radio is black:

Mine is black or it was the last time I looked at it round the radio.... I'll forgo going outside to see what my dials look like. There is this site Steve which was posted up in another area of the board which I found yesterday. A collection of Seat video adverts.... perhaps some internal.... kind of interesting....

Think it's the Italian / Spanish lass that designed the interior fabric... think she's Italian tossing colours around in an arty form [Design, crossing..].

What we are all looking for is the Seat design signature;). That's the twirl in the metal [crease] that goes up and down which will be common to all Seat's that follow in the Altea's footsteps [road print ?]. Of yes that signature is the red mark to the left of where it says Kontakt at the bottom of the screen. Note I absorbed it all in.

had a look inside about 8 alteas today - all models were black, including sport spec, but there was no dsg model there, so dunno if the dash matches the gearbox trim with being silver or not.

There was a toledo with a silver dash trim, and it looked nicer than the altea dashboard.

Oops! got in the car today and realised that the main part of the dash is black except for around the dials and a small square around the radio LCD display which is titanium in colour just like the photo.

DSG gear box trim is silver, 99.9999 % certain on that one without going outside.

I think the Stylance comes with the silver trim on the whole of the centre console. The Sport just has the silver bit around the radio diplay. If you look at the centre pages of the (original) brochure its shows this and as that car has the steering wheel stereo controls I assume it is the Stylance.

Sure mine is black round the radio without going outside to have a look, but silver round the DSG gearbox bit.

I posted this up but they moved it ! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=57427

If you have a look at the PDF you see the inside of the Altea dash being taken a part. hmmm and moving it wasn't a good idea I don't think since it's an Altea only matter - what goes down the Quadlock connector is like a computer bus the data traffic and the quadlock is only fitted to the Altea and the New Toledo. Little expert that I'm becoming in the Quadlock and the databus;).... I need to be, to get my MD changer fitted.
