Schricks would costs circa £600/pair - not cheap but the best quality cams for VW's.
Installation would be approx 4 hours labour.
I would reccommend a vernier pulley also to allow accurate cam timing - especially if the head is gas flowed and likely has been skimmed.
Autotechnik (02380 ******) can do this for you.
regards
Bill

I've had the cams and head work for a few weeks now, and its really starting to bed in and release some power - lovely sound as well. Can't wait to get the chip to get it all running at full potential.
One thing I would warn if you are considering this conversion is how much time you spend at idle, for example in traffic, or around town. The idle really suffers and can be uncomfortable - I've seen Neil P's ibiza with the same work done, plus chip and its not much better.

Yeah, I heard Neils start up on Saturday. It sounded a bit lumpy but when you get going....... http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif

...computer games don't affect kids, I mean if Pac Man affected us as
kids, we'd all run around in a darkened room munching pills and listening
to repetitive music...

Indeed! - unfortnately so does the fuel computer, managed to get 9.5 mpg showing playing with a scooby the other day!

The Oetinger cams are not too lumpy and you don't loose any torque (according to their website). Don't even look at your fuel consumption until at least 2 miles down the road its too depressing.
Not too sure about wild cams which bugger torque at the bottom end - you look a bit of an arse sat at the lights pulling 6,000
Don't play with Scoobys they will chew you up and spit you out - been there (damn must get a supercharger).
I did once get 40mpg during the petrol blockade.
I go along with the Vernier pulleys whilst fitting the cams - never misses a beat,
If you're having problems in traffic it may be due to the fueling set up, have a rolling road session.
My Cordie was a SBG demo car so it had all all the creases ironed out on the engine side (the dealer did the suspension though http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/frown.gif )
