View Full Version : Cordoba 1.6 SX
Hello All....
I know from the forum that you all have the dogs Bolox cars with 2.0 16v's in em.
But I could only afford the 1.6 sx and very pleased with it I am.
When my exhaust went last month I could only find standard from dealer...where can I get a better one for performance ?
Also, is there any little tricks ( as I'm newby ) to tweak pull away from lights ? That wont cost a bucket load ?
Any help would be welcome...Thanks all..

i test drove the 1.6sx when i owned a 1.4 beezer, there is a fair difference so be glad you didnt get a 96 ibiza salsa!!! no offence to the salsa owners!! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/wink.gif
You can always get a chip for a bit of improvement, try drilling the airbox or getting an induction kit from pipercross, you will get a small gain but more nice gruffy noise, there is a guide on this site somewhere, sjb sport run by john burton has loads of stuff (including exhausts) for cordies so goto www.sjbsport.co.uk, (http://www.sjbsport.co.uk,) his prices are great and dosnt charge delivery for most things!!! what more can i say!!
for other body bits contact RPM (www.richardsons-group.co.uk/motorsport
I have their current pricelist on my site under the wrc cordoba on main page.. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/brendan.nelson/ their prices are a little more but they give you a bit of an idea of what you can do with your motor seeing as there isnt many coupes flying around!!

Thankyou...will do all....

SPARKY,
if your getting an induction kit get the samco silicon hose between the engine and kit, increases bhp by about 5 -alos make the engine sound even meatier

Great where would I get one of those then mate ?
Will the induction kit work with out it for the time being ?
Is it really that good..
Thanks ..Sparky

The induction kit will work without it, the samco hose is about 70GBP's i think from SJB sport, haven't found anyone that does one cheaper yet http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/frown.gif

it'll work fine without the samco one, the thin guage rubber one just restricts the air once the revs get nice and high!!
wonder if a manufactured metal on would do the same job?????
Hold it lads, i think ive got an idea!! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/wink.gif

I'm learning more every day...Thanks lads!
