i'll ring em b4 the week end rob, also gonna ask alan white at autotechnik for any light to shed.
gonna check a guy at works mk2 gti 8v see if they resemble ours, some bugger must know the score:cheers:
called c+r today and gave them our mount numbers(again),the result?front mount is mk3 golf ,the number is the same as the seat one barr the end letter, ours is j the golf one is g .
roy from c+r is looking at the other two tonight/tomorrow,also the tech guy there was out so he's gonna speak to him too.
they can deffo get standard ones but will have to look into uprated ones .
so a bits are coming together,i'm thinking of TDI ones for mine apparently 33%stiffer than petrol ones ,again if they fit:D

Have you seen a posting on club gti's forum where a guy has said he has potted his engine mounts with siicone sealant to replace the voids and or existing oil in the case of the hydraulic front mount. When fully cured.. an uprated engine mount.
Seemed a good idea to me.
My Jetta runs with Polyurethane potting in my rear engine mount, which fills a couple of the 4 voids and that has worked a treat for quite a few years now.
Worth a thought?

I wouldn't have thought an engine mount made out of petrol would be very stiff at all so a TDi one should be more than 33% stiffer :D Sorry for wantonly ridiculous post but it's been one of THOSE days
