Of the 3 SEAT dealers nearest to me, only 1 sells just SEAT cars. The others sell other manufacturers cars such as Rover, Jeep and Mazda.

Is it a case of "Jack of all trades, master of none" with these multi franchise dealers? Do other people's experiences suggest that dedicated SEAT dealers know more about fixing problems with SEAT cars than the others?

Some multi-brand dealers know eff all, but some are very good.

Same as some sole SEAT Dealers know eff all and some are good too.

My advice is - Post a thread about SEAT dealers in the Preston area and peeps will respond.

Wilson's in Chadwell Heath sell Seats and Lotus's. When I asked if their mechanics were better than a 'straight' Seat dealer, the answer I got was no.

I was told their Seat technicians are fitters (and therefore presumably respond to any problems thrown up by VAG-COM by replacing parts), whereas the Lotus technicians are trained mechanics. Go figure...
