I seem to remember SEAT offering a 130bhp chip for the Alhambra TDi 110 some time ago, and if so, do they still offer upgrades for this engine. Secondly, am i likly to be found out if a warrenty claim is required if i chip my Leon 110?

Is that a "yes" for effecting warranty claim, or cos SJB are a official SEAT upgrade agent?? cheers.
£185 sounds good compared to Van Aaken who charge £400+, althought that includes a rolling road too, does SJB?
Thanx,
Neil

143bhp / 215lbs.ft
$300 (£180 approx)
"THE" VAG TDi tuners (see www.tdiclub) (http://www.tdiclub))
Fully warranted for new cars, and those with less than X thousand miles (can't remember the figure ~ need to look at website). This is only important IF your dealer spots it.... (remap is invisible to VAG1551 diagnostic equip).
Van-Aaken quoted me £400+ for 130bhp, but there was no rolling road set up....this was based on me sending them my ECU for chip remap.
I sound like a stuck record.....but Upsolute WILL have a UK distributor shortly....
Alternatively:- www.tuningbox.com (http://www.tuningbox.com)
137bhp for approx £300, and no warranty concerns 'cos you can install and remove in about 2 minutes.
------------------
When I spoke to Van Aaken it was based on me leaving car for half a day and them doing full fitment and setup.....oh well.
As for Tuning box, I have considered, but if I have an accident and can't get access to car the insurance company are bound to spot it!!!!!
Not sure which way to go yet, but a 6 speed box would be good, in Germany I have maxed at 132mph @ 4750rpm in 5th on long down hills, and thats standard power!!! :-(

I had the chance to take it out for a blast yesterday while I had an amp fitted.
I never thought I'd say it but......it's painful....what a fun car! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif
(Only joking TDI owners)
The torque on the thing is incredible. I flew up a steep two lane cariageway hill at 70mph in 5th and the bloody thing was still accelerating hard.
It took some getting used to with the short gears compared to my Cupra so you need to stir it a bit but it's quick. Not quite Cupra quick 0-60 but probably 8.5ish??
Mid range grunt is great. 50-70 very good.
And.....on the way back, a steady 75, at 48mpg! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif
If some of you young 'uns want a quick car, cheap to insure and good on fuel (when you're not nailing it) I'd recommend one. It would take some time to get used to the clattering for me but it'd be worth it.
It is at Amethyst up here in Cheltenham if anyone fancies a test drive, I'm sure they'd be happy to help.
cheers

You're not wrong mate....I forgot to add.....
The handling is better than a stock Cupra in my opinion, the extra weight really helps in the corners. I took a corner at 60 in it quite comfortably. The same corner in the Cupra doesn't instill you with huge confidence.
Cheers

P.S Wahay, new Smilies!
